Upcoming Programs
WCG Programs are presented monthly on Zoom from September to April.
May is our Annual Meeting.
Programs are free for WCG members; non-members can attend for a small fee.
Programs begin at 7:30 pm ET but attendees are invited to log on at 7 pm for conversation.
All WCG members as well as registered nonmembers will receive a link to view the program's recording.
We ask that you not share the link for live or recorded programs on social media or other outlets: they are the property of the Washington Calligraphers Guild.
Annual Meeting: Saturday, May 3
WCG's Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 3 is at Concord-St. Andrews UMC in Bethesda and online via Zoom. Gather at 2 pm for social time, followed by a 2:30 presentation by Carah Tabar on making small books, then at approximately 3:15 the Election of Officers for 2025-26.
The meeting will take place in the church social room so we can enjoy potluck snacks, member Carah Tabar's journey in bookmaking, elections and plenty of time to socialize. Bring your artwork for our display table and a snack to share. Members may bring guests, but only members can vote.
Election Procedure: The Board was not able to appoint a Nominating Committee as no one volunteered. Because there was no committee, elections will proceed with nominations from the floor. Because the Annual Meeting includes election of officers, it will be hybrid to enable remote voting.
