After the National Postal Museum's overwhelming response to its 2005 call for calligraphers to mail in envelopes artfully addressed to “The Graceful Envelope,” the museum did several things:
In 1995 it printed this 32-page booklet reproducing many of those entries.
It made The Graceful Envelope an annual contest at the museum...
...until turning it over to the Washington Calligraphers Guild in 2001.
