2025 Graceful Envelope Winners
In 2025 we reached the first quarter of this century — one-fourth of 100 years — which inspired the 2025 Graceful Envelope Contest theme: Go Fourth. Entrants were urged to explore something that comes in fours, is associated with sets of four, or is commonly cut into fourths (e.g. the phases of the moon, the points of a compass, the seasons, the Four Freedoms, an apple that's been quartered). Then, using artistry, artistic lettering, and the integration of postage stamps into the design, create an envelope that captures their interpretation of the theme.
Judging the 2025 contest were The trio met in person on April 26 and evaluated entries based on the following criteria:
-
Creative interpretation of the contest theme, Go Fourth, to transform an ordinary envelope into a work of art.
-
Quality of calligraphy or artistic lettering used to address the envelope.
-
Effective use of color and design, including integration of postage stamp(s).
Please note:
-
It was left to the judges' discretion to determine the number and designation of winners in each division: Adults; students in grades 9-12; grades 5-8; grades 1-4.
-
Certificates will be emailed to winners and honorable mentions in May, so if you didn't receive one or have questions, please contact Peggy Barlett.
