Carl Rohrs has been a well-known and respected sign painter and lettering artist in Santa Cruz, CA since the '70s, a teacher at Cabrillo College since the '80s and began teaching workshops around the same time. He has been the editor of Alphabet (the journal of Friends of Calligraphy in San Francisco, CA) from 1989-92, then again since 2015 and still loving it.
Carl designed and co-edited the 25th Speedball Textbook and was the editor/designer for the 26th edition which is the newest one. Carl will share the stories behind the alphabet examples covered in this 26th edition.
